Arts Precinct Exhibition

Designcase and Designcraft were engaged as primary fit-out contractor for the new Macquarie University Arts Precinct – University Museum and Open Collection Display.  We delivered a large number of proprietary Spectrum and Fresco2 showcases, which were integrated into reconfigurable joinery ‘modules’.  The whole Museum space can be lifted and reconfigured, making this a dynamic and flexible Museum Collections display.  This project required the largest single delivery of shelving and associated hardware (such as text and graphic display hardware) we have ever supplied, allowing the curators to deploy an on-mass display, capturing the scope of the university collection.  High levels of access, the requirement for content heavy display and easy reconfiguration were all driving factors in this demanding and elegant design solution.
